How it works
Windows 11, 64-bit is required. An initial internet connection is required to activate the licence. After activation, normal use is local and offline. No Workforce Toolbox account or subscription is required.
Each PC keeps its own local dataset. Rota Essential does not automatically synchronise or merge rota data between PCs; Backup and Restore is the supported transfer method.
Planning information, not payroll or legal advice
Rota Essential provides factual scheduling, scheduled hours, contracted-hours comparison, planning labour cost, budget information and configurable workplace break defaults.
Planning figures are not payroll calculations. The software does not determine employment rights, legal compliance, overtime entitlement or statutory break entitlement.
Release status
The signed Windows installer and final Windows acceptance are still pending. Rota Essential remains Coming Soon; there is no checkout, download or public installer at this stage.
