Customer rights

Refunds & Digital Content

A plain-English draft explaining change-of-mind cancellation and the separate remedies that may apply when digital content is faulty or does not match its description.

Production-quality draft for owner review · Last reviewed 9 September 2026

Current status

Live customer checkout is not active and paid files cannot currently be ordered from this website. Stripe sandbox testing does not create a real customer order or move real money. The sandbox now tests durable refund records and withdrawal of future hosted access after a confirmed full test refund. This policy records the approach intended for the future checkout and must be revalidated against the completed live Stripe Managed Payments flow before commerce opens.

Change-of-mind cancellation

For digital content supplied online, a consumer will normally have an applicable 14-day cancellation period unless the right ends after supply begins in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Before an immediate download begins, the future checkout must require the customer to take an affirmative action to:

  1. expressly agree to the digital content being supplied immediately; and
  2. acknowledge that the applicable 14-day cancellation right will be lost once supply begins.

These acknowledgements must not be pre-ticked. If immediate supply has not begun, or the required consent and acknowledgement were not properly obtained, the customer’s cancellation position may be different.

Faulty or non-conforming content

The loss of a change-of-mind cancellation right does not remove statutory rights. Digital content must meet the standards required by law, including being as described and meeting applicable quality and fitness requirements.

If paid content is faulty or does not conform to the contract, the customer may be entitled to an appropriate remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Depending on the circumstances, this can include repair or replacement and, where the statutory conditions are met, a price reduction or refund. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

Problems we will investigate

Customers will be able to contact support about:

  • a corrupt or incomplete download;
  • missing files or the wrong product being delivered;
  • access or download problems;
  • a product materially not matching its description; or
  • a cancellation or refund question.

No specific response-time commitment is made.

Refunds and hosted access

When a full refund is confirmed by the payment provider, future access through Workforce Toolbox hosted download links may be withdrawn. This does not attempt to delete files already legitimately downloaded. A partial, pending or failed refund does not by itself withdraw the whole toolkit entitlement.

Stripe Managed Payments may provide transaction-level customer support and may process refunds through its own support flow. Workforce Toolbox will still assist with product and download concerns through the support contact below.
